Dolor

More Uni pieces. This time the brief was to interpret Theodore Roethke's Dolor, and I decided to create a series of oil paintings inspired by the themes of the poem.

Crocky-Wock

I'm working on a ton of competitions and my final negotiated brief at the moment, so I thought I'd post a couple of projects from my previous semester's work.
This was an image created to illustrate Roald Dahl's Crocky-Wock poem, which tells the tale of a croc who likes to kick back at weekends by devouring children. I liked the idea of him going on to become a celebrity chef, and inevitably visiting various daytime television shows in order to plug his latest book.

Outsiders

My entries to the House of Illustration's 'Getting inside the Outsider' competition. The requirements were to produce three sample illustrations for the Albert Camus book The Outsider. Although the book didn't have the most joyous themes for working on it over the festive period (existentialism, nihilism, murder, diseased dogs) I did enjoy creating these.
